Who is the man behind the pages?

Hugo M. Costa is a Foreign Languages & Cultures graduate from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and a published writer from Valongo, Portugal. Learning to read from the age of year-and-a-half-years-old, he has developed a passion for writing and reading that he has nurtured ever since.
Alongside that love for story-telling and creating scenarios, Hugo spends his time honing his passion for cars and Japanese culture, sometimes fusing both. His dream is to have his works featured globally to showcase their Japanese-inspired Portuguese flair to a broader audience.

Hugo published his first full original story, the Japanese manga/anime-inspired novel Vallis Code: The Valley’s Vigilantes: Friendship Forged Through Chaos (translated title), in 2020, through local publisher Artelogy. A second book is currently in the works.

In his remaining spare time, Hugo has worked to promote increased awareness for autism, having appeared in several speaking activities across several schools in and around his hometown of Valongo, Portugal. In addition, he has recorded an awareness DVD testimony in collaboration with the Portuguese Asperger Association (APSA).
